About ShenzhenList

Your China-side team, working from the buyer side.

Nine people in the Pearl River Delta. Since 2021 we have screened over 5,000 factories, physically walked 3,800 of them, and run sourcing projects for more than 300 overseas buyers — verifying, negotiating, inspecting, and shipping, paid by the buyer and nobody else.

The ShenzhenList team working on the ground in Shenzhen

Track record

Five years, in numbers

On the ground
5 yrs
Operating since 2021 inside the Guangdong electronics supply chain, not from an overseas desk.
People, all in China
9
Sourcing leads, project managers, and inspectors based in the Pearl River Delta. No offshore call centre.
Factories screened
5,000+
Checked on ownership, declared capability, certification, and trading-company red flags before anyone gets on a train.
Visited in person
3,800+
Physically walked. Most of them before any client asked us to — that is what building a list nobody can buy into costs.
Overseas buyers served
300+
Hardware founders, DTC and creator brands, and established e-commerce sellers across North America, Europe, and Australia.
Commission from factories
$0
No commission, no rebate, no listing fee — from any factory, ever. Our service fee on managed projects is billed to you and never deducted from a supplier’s invoice.

How we count

Anyone can print a big number. Here is what ours mean.

Screened, visited, and on the list are three different things, and most sourcing companies blur them deliberately. These are our definitions.

Screened
Business licence, registered capital, real business scope, factory-versus-trader status, certification validity, and export history checked from Shenzhen. Roughly 5,000 companies since 2021.
Visited
A member of our team physically entered the production facility and walked the line. Around 3,800 of the screened companies — an average of three site visits per field week across a nine-person team over five years.
On the list
Passed the visit and stayed consistent afterwards. Far fewer than 3,800. Factories are removed when quality, communication, or ownership changes — being on the list once is not permanent.

The site visits are the expensive part, and most of them were made before any client asked for them. That is the actual cost of maintaining a list that no factory can buy its way onto.

How we make money

Four revenue lines. None of them are the factory.

"We don't take kickbacks" is easy to write and impossible for you to check. So here is the actual mechanism.

01

Consultation fees paid by the buyer

02

Day rates for factory visits and inspections

03

A service fee on projects we run end to end

04

A flat operations fee at the consolidation warehouse

Our service fees are published on the pricing page. Factory quotes are shown to you unmarked and freight is passed through at the carrier rate, so you can verify both yourself.

Working principles

Trust is built through process

01

We are in the building

Five years operating inside the Guangdong supply chain — next to the factories, the component markets, and the engineering teams, not managing them from an overseas desk.

02

The buyer is the only client

Recommendations start with your product, your market, and your risk. Never with a factory that wants the order.

03

Factories pay us nothing

No commission, no rebate, no listing fee. A supplier cannot buy a place on our list, a better position on a shortlist, or a softer inspection result.

04

Claims get checked in person

Certificates and listings are a starting point. Capability is confirmed by someone standing on the production floor.

05

Depth over breadth

Shenzhen electronics and smart hardware is where we are genuinely strong. We say so when a project sits outside it.

06

Bad news travels fast

You get the open risks and the things we could not confirm, delivered as quickly as the good findings. No manufactured certainty.

07

Execution, not introductions

Sampling, factory communication, QC, and logistics need someone local doing the work — an email introduction is not a supply chain.

08

We are still here next year

The relationship is the product. Same team on your next order, your next SKU, and the problem that surfaces six months from now.
